As you know, we’re Official Blog Ambassadors for Amazing Pet Expos around the country, the mega-company with over 40 shows a year. We’re very lucky because the next few shows are in Texas!

This Saturday is the San Antonio Pet Expo and we’ll have a booth along with PrestonSpeaks.com, our fellow ambassador. We’ll also be speaking from the main stage about ways to save money on your pet travel!

As Texas residents and Texas travelers well know, Texas is HOT in the summer (and late spring…and early fall…) So we’re super excited to announce that we’ve got a great deal to pass along to readers lucky enough to drive down to the San Antonio Pet Expo on Saturday (or the Houston Pet Expo on April 13). Our readers will have the chance to get a FREE Kumfy Tailz warming and cooling harness just for coming to our booth!

You’ll remember that Kumfy Tailz hosted a great post-Super Dog Sunday™ event with giveaways to many members of our Super Dog Sunday™ Cheer Team. This company, which has donated over $23,000 in harnesses recently to shelters and rescues, offered harnesses to Cheer Team members and either a reader or the blogger’s favorite rescue so that other dogs can use these harnesses with its Kumfy Pax warming and cooling pack that fits in a sleeve inside the harness.

We’ll be donating any remaining harnesses at our booth to a rescue at the expo so watch for photos after the Expo! These harnesses have been put to good use by many shelters and rescues through Kumfy Tailz’ donation program and have been used to treat dogs coming in with hypo and hyperthermia, to provide comfort to scared animals or those in shock, for post-op to reduce swelling and cover stitches so dog can’t get at them, and even to send home with patients/adoptive parents for ongoing care.

Win a Kumfy Tailz Harness for Your Dog & Your Favorite Rescue!

In Texas, there’s a saying about the weather that we’ve heard many places around the globe: “If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.” We go from hot to cold at a minute’s notice. Last week, it was in the mid-80s here and the dogs were panting on their afternoon walks. Today it’s so chilly Irie and Tiki are hanging out indoors!

The Kumfy Tailz works thanks to its size-appropriate Kumfy Pax pouch that can be used for cooling or warming, depending on the weather. (It’s like the gel packs you’d put in a child’s lunch to keep it cool.) To use the Kumfy Pax pouch for cooling, simply place it in your freezer. When ready to go outside, slip the pouch into the Kumfy Tailz chest pocket to help Fido stay cool and enjoy his activity. In the winter, the pouch can be microwaved before slipping it inside your dog’s harness. Kumfy Tailz and Kumfy Pax were developed in close consultation with Kumfy Tailz’ licensed veterinarian adviser, Jennifer Henderson, DVM.

The outside layer of fabric on the Kumfy Tailz warming and cooling harnesses has recently been changed to a mesh fabric, available in numerous colors.
